Oat Chia Waffles

A couple weeks ago I was craving a waffle or pancake but wanted to find a healthier option. After doing some research I came across Kenzie Burke’s “Oat chia waffle recipe”. It was so good I couldn’t even tell the difference from an everyday waffle. The first time i made these waffles I had them as a late breakfast around 10pm, and i didn’t find my self to be hungry again for hours after. The recipe consists of only five ingredients and is super easy. This will definitely be a recipe I will be making weekly.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups gluten free rolled oats

1 ½ cup oat milk

1 ¼ cup maple syrup

 2 tbs chia seeds

 coconut butter

instructions

  • Blend oats in a blender until flower like consistency
  • Place all Ingredients including syrup into bowl and mix
  • Butter up the waffle press and poor batter in

I loved having these with melted frozen cherries and blueberries or jam. Served with maple syrup, coconut butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon
