Process Post #10: Canva

This week I used Canva again to create an info-graph. Canva is a graphic design platform that is super easy to learn. It offers advanced design options for social media graphics, presentations, posters, and documents. The platform offers thousands of templates, colours, and fonts to use to assist in all your publishing projects. The first time I used Canva for my website was to create an inspiration collage to select the initial colours, aesthetic, and themes for my website, prior to posting it online. The second time I used it I designed a banner that is currently on my home page that reads; “food inspiration”. This last time I found that creating the info-graph was a bit more challenging. This is likely because there is only a small amount of space and so many design choices to make. I decided to use the space for additional photos rather than using more text as I believe it’s more eye-catching this way yet still easy to understand. This is better than cramming a bunch of words into a small amount of space.

With only two weeks left to complete my website I spent the rest of my week adding credit tags to pictures, editing and adding to blog posts, and planning what I will be doing for my final 2 blog posts. I am excited to see the final product in two weeks, but still have a lot of work ahead of me until I get there.
